The GaitXR App
XR tool for gait training, enhancing the quality of life for elderly citizens. Walking activities are guided by augmented reality markers placed along a route, and each session is recorded so the professional can download and compare progress over time.
Available in English, Greek, Spanish, Italian and Danish. The Android app requires Android 8.0 or later.
Getting started
1. Install the app
GaitXR is distributed as an APK file outside Google Play, so Android will ask you to allow installs from this source. Installation takes about three minutes.
2. Print the AR markers
GaitXR recognises 20 printed markers (trackers). Place them along the walking route; each session uses between 3 and 20 of them.
3. Run and follow sessions
Each session is linked to a pseudonym code, never the patient’s name. Use the data collector to download session data and compare it with previous sessions.
